Mr. Thomas Daly, 74, of Clovis, a U.S. Air Force retiree, died Tuesday, June 24, 2003, at Laurel Plains Health Care in Clovis.

He was born Feb. 26, 1929, in Belfast, Northern Ireland, to James and Mary Anne Kelly Daly.

He married Florence Duffy on Oct. 18, 1952, in Belfast. He joined the U.S. Air Force and retired as a master sergeant in 1974. He worked at Cannon Air Force Base in the civil service for 12 years. He was awarded Tactical Air Command Maintenance Man of the Year in 1980. He was a Catholic. Family members said he enjoyed fishing, woodworking and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Ann Murry.

He is survived by his wife; four sons, Tom Daly (and wife, Georgeanne) of Rio Rancho, Jim Daly of Clovis, John Daly (and wife, Chris) of Clearfield, Utah, and Brian Daly (and wife, Stephanie) of Clovis; two daughters, Stephanie Darmstedter (and husband, Rick) of Elizabeth, Colo., and Maureen Burns (and husband, Don) of Clovis; three brothers, John, Oliver and Jerry Daly, all of Belfast; two sisters, Rose Mary McVicker of North Ireland and Colette Dulson of England; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A rosary is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday at The Chapel, 1500 N. Thornton St.

Father James Walling will officiate the services.

Cremation will take place.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 1330 San Pedro NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
