Mrs. Florence Vivian Rogers, 101, of Clovis, a retired bookkeeper, died Monday, June 2, 2003, at Laurel Plains Healthcare in Clovis.

She was born on June 5, 1901, Chelsea, Okla., to Crummel and Elizabeth Kissinger DeLozier.

She moved to Pleasant Hill in 1906. They farmed and helped to build a new community. She married C. Ellis Rogers who later became an accountant in Clovis where she worked until retirement. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, a 50-year member of Keystone Chapter No. 27 and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Family members said her most favorite thing to do was travel to places she had not seen.

She was preceded in death by husband; her parents; two brothers; and two sisters.

She is survived by two sisters, Blanche L. Pierce of Whitney, Texas, and Ellen Autry of Augusta, Ga.; two nieces; and eight nephews.

Steve McElroy will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Plains Sanctuary Mausoleum in Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner’s Crippled Children’s Hospital Fund, care of 6600 Zuni SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108.

Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.
