Mrs. Patsy Talley, 75, of Friona, a housewife, died Sunday, May 25, 2003, in Dallas, Texas.
She was born on Aug. 9, 1927, in Abernathy, Texas, to Jewel and D.O. Robason.
She graduated from Friona High School in 1945 and attended Draughns Business College. She married Calvin Talley on March 8, 1947, and was a longtime resident of Clovis. She taught Sunday School 30 years at First Baptist Church of Friona, where she was a member. Described as a loving wife, mother and grandmother by family members, she became a member of the “Friends of the Library” organization and the “Friends of Music” at First United Methodist Church in Lubbock.
Survivors include her mother, of Friona; a daughter, Pattijon (P.J.) (and husband Donald) Bate of Plano, Texas; a son, Rex Talley (and wife Karen) of Lubbock; two sisters, Lila Wall of San Angelo, Texas, and Wanda Jones of Spearman, Texas; two brothers, D.O. Robason Jr., of Grandview, Texas, and Jim Robason of d Springs, Ark.; and a grandson, Cameron Talley of Waco, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her father.
The Revs. Russell Pogue and Mark Stovall will officiate the services.
Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home in Clovis. Memorials can be made to a local hospice or to the American Heart Association.
