The County Fair has come and gone and several Dora youngsters said they are happier because of their accomplishments.

These are the only reports I have on the fair.

Praises
Rosemary Kelly continues to improve and Jim Wall was able to come out to worship with us at the Baptist Church Sunday morning. He was accompanied by a friend, Wanda Reed of Clovis. The congregation said it was nice to have them.
Dora Baptist
The Eastern Baptist Association executive board will meet for their regular meeting at the Dora Baptist Church this Thursday. The meal will be served at 6 p.m. and the business meeting will follow.
Youth Group
The Baptist youth will host a car wash and rummage sale from 8 a.m. to noon this Saturday. This will be in the C & S parking lot in Portales.
New in our area
Terry Don and Valerie Watson and Sam have two young cousins staying with them now, they are Kendra and Sadler from Texas. They hope to be students in Dora Elementary this year.
There will be other new students from this area in Dora School and there will also be some the community will miss due to moving, graduating and other reasons.
Charlie Sez: This year I plan to give a smile away to everyone I see — by dividing one smile between persons, you subtract sadness and add joy. So the original smile continues to be multiplied by all.
