Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:
A Clovis woman reported late Tuesday that several items were missing from her home at the 300 block of Axtell.
The woman said all of her doors were locked but a window to her bathroom was open. A DVD player, assorted DVD disks, a computer, and a computer printer worth a total of about $1,200 were missing.

Sometime between 11:30 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday, unknown persons broke into a home on the 100 block of East Yucca by throwing a rock through the front window.

Someone broke the passenger window of a 1979 white Chevy El Camino pickup between 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday and stole the truck’s stereo.
The stereo was apparently pried out of the dashboard with a screwdriver or similar tool. The owner advised that the truck had been parked in the parking lot of a Clovis business.

A Clovis man shopping at a local store from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday came out of the store and found that the left side of the windshield on his red 1992 Ford pickup had been shattered.
The windshield appeared to have been struck at least three times with a large object.

A Clovis resident called police about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday to report that a 7-year-old child got too close to a brown Chow dog chained up at the 1200 block of Mora and was bitten. The child may have been squirting the dog with a water pistol.

Responding about 8:30 p.m. Thursday to a domestic incident at the 500 block of Hinkle, Clovis police found that a chain link gate had been badly damaged when a boyfriend left in his girlfriend’s pickup truck.
The girlfriend said she did not want to press charges, but did want the pickup back. Police advised that she needed to obtain a domestic violence protection order.
