Samplings of recent calls received by the Clovis Police Department, according to police reports:

A Clovis woman getting ready to leave for a job interview at about 2 p.m. Friday forgot some items she needed for the interview, left her car running while she went into her apartment at the 1000 block of MLK to get the missing items, and came out to find her car missing.

The missing vehicle is a brown 2001 Oldsmobile Alero with some damage to the left front quarter panel.

A Clovis car dealership called police to report a trailer theft over the weekend.

The missing trailer was taken sometime between 8 a.m. Friday and noon Monday, and is a red Lonestar four-wheel utility trailer with a chrome toolbox, short rails on the flatbed and a wooden floor. The dealership estimated its value at $1,400.

Police responded about 9 a.m. Monday to a report of gang graffiti on homes and garages at the 500 block of Johnson.

Officers determined that the graffiti belonged to several different gangs and that the most recent graffiti had been painted between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. Monday morning.

After being called about midnight on Monday to a local restaurant, police administered tests and determined that a Portales man could not safely drive. The man was taken into protective custody at the Curry County adult detention center to keep him from driving.

A Clovis businesswoman arrived at work Monday morning to find that nearly $4,000 worth of computer projection equipment was missing from the back of her car.

Police determined that her garage door had been opened and other items were also missing from her garage at the 100 block of Fairway Terrace. Also, a freezer was open with food spilled out onto the floor.

A 15-year-old Clovis boy called police Monday afternoon to report that his bicycle had been stolen while he was at North Plains Mall.

The boy said the bicycle is a silver-colored Next stunt bike worth about $40, and had not been locked before he went into the mall.

A resident of the 200 block of East 13th Street called police Monday afternoon to report a stolen air conditioner.

According to the resident, she had been called by the maintenance man for the apartment complex and needed to file a report with her landlord regarding the missing air conditioner. The resident said she did not know of any other items missing.
