Court dispositions 7/20

The following dispositions have been filed recently in Curry County courts:

District Court

--Johnny Stonelake pleaded guilty to battery, a petty misdemeanor. Sentenced to 181 days imprisonment with credit for 181 days served.

Kathy Williams pleaded guilty to aggravated battery, a misdemeanor. Sentenced to 364 days imprisonment with credit for one day served, all but 90 suspended and 30 days to be served at county jail and 60 on house arrest; 274 days supervised probation.

--Scott E. Jefferson pleaded guilty to possession with intent to deliver a controlled non-narcotic substance and trafficking a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Determined to be a habitual offender and sentenced to three years imprisonment; final year suspended and placed on supervised probation with special conditions of finishing GED, enrollment in drug abuse counseling, and payment of $700 restitution to DEA and state police for lab cleanup, $100 DNA fee, and $75 lab fee.

--Richard Swopes pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), a fourth-degree felony, and three counts of criminal sexual penetration of a child under 13, a first-degree felony classified as a serious violent offense. Sentenced to 41 years imprisonment with credit for 291 days served, $75 lab fee and $100 DNA testing fee. As a condition of parole, required to make victim restitution, participate in sex offender counseling, register as a sex offender, and have no contact with victims without their approval and that of Social Services.

--Bobby Ray Owen pleaded guilty to larceny over $250 and possession of a controlled substance, both fourth-degree felonies, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Sentencing deferred 18 months and placed on 18 months supervised probation with special conditions of paying $75 lab fee, $100 DNA testing fee, substance abuse screening, no contact with victims, and payment of probation costs. Granted credit for nine days served.

Magistrate Court

--Thomas Anaya, 21, pleaded guilty to driving while license suspended or revoked. Sentenced to 364 days in county jail, all but seven suspended; $359 fine, court costs and fees; 357 days supervised probation.

--Keenan McNeal, 27, pleaded guilty to driving while license suspended and driving without insurance. Sentenced to two concurrent terms of 90 days in county jail, all suspended; $98 fine, court costs and fees; 90 days unsupervised probation with permission to perform 19 hours community service in lieu of payment.

--Luis A. Espinoza Jr., 23, pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated, first offense. Sentenced to 364 days in county jail, suspended; $499 fine, court costs and fees; alcohol abuse screening and attendance at MADD victim impact panel and DWI school; 364 days supervised probation with $35 per month probation costs and ignition interlock ordered.

--Marquez Ramos, 21, pleaded guilty to concealing identity. Sentenced to 180 days in county jail with credit for 10 days served and remainder suspended; $200 fee for bench warrant due to failure to appear on charges; $51 court costs and fees; 170 days unsupervised probation.

--Roxanne Dixon, 20, pleaded no contest to resisting, evading, or obstructing an officer. Sentenced to 364 days in county jail, suspended; $301 fine, court costs and fees; 364 days unsupervised probation. Served eight days in jail in lieu of payment.

--Theresa McCard, 27, pleaded guilty to violation of compulsory school attendance law. Sentenced to 182 days in county jail, suspended; $151 fine, court costs and fees; 182 days unsupervised probation with special condition requiring her fourth-grade child to attend school.

--Tylee Anderson, 18, pleaded guilty to battery on a household member. Sentenced to 364 days in county jail, suspended; $51 court costs and fees; 364 days unsupervised probation with special conditions of attending anger management classes and no contact with victim.

--John Krattiger, 18, pleaded guilty to minor in possession of alcohol. Sentenced to $151 fine and court costs; 30 hours community service related to reducing the incidence of driving while intoxicated.

--Billy Griffin, 32, pleaded guilty to driving while license revoked. Sentenced to 364 days in county jail, all but seven suspended; $359 fine, court costs and fees; 357 days supervised probation with $35 per month probation costs.

--Teresa Marie Phillip, pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia. Sentenced to 364 days in county jail, suspended; $226 fine, court costs and fees; 364 days unsupervised probation.

--Anthony Martinez, 20, pleaded guilty to speeding 13 mph over limit and driving while license suspended. Sentenced to 90 days in county jail, suspended; $128 fine, court costs and fees; 90 days unsupervised probation.

--Heath Eddens, 19, pleaded guilty to driving under suspension. Sentenced to two terms of 364 days in county jail with credit for one day served, suspended; $458 fine, court costs and fees; 363 days supervised probation to run concurrently with probation in a separate case with $35 per month probation costs; vehicle to be immobilized for 30 days.

--Ricardo Ramirez, 18, pleaded guilty to unlawful use of a license, speeding 52 in 45 mph zone, driving under suspension. Sentencing deferred 90 days and placed on 90 days unsupervised probation with conditions of obeying all laws and payment of $237 court costs, fees, and bench warrant fees for failure to appear.

--Isaac Rubio, 21, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Sentenced to 379 days in jail with 289 suspended for a total of 99 days to be served in lieu of $332 fine, extradition to Texas.

--William Riley, 30, pleaded no contest to driving while license suspended. Sentencing deferred 90 days and placed on 90 days unsupervised probation with conditions of obeying all laws and payment of $59 court costs and fees.
