Mrs. Mable C. Rogers, 87, of Clovis, a retired bookkeeper, died Saturday, April 26, 2003, at Plains Regional Medical Center.
She was born on March 29, 1916, in Sugar Grove, Ark., to Charles “Pop” and Ida “Mom” Maines.
She was a resident of Clovis for most of her life. She graduated from East Central State Teachers College in 1936. She married Herman C. “Red” Rogers on Oct. 21, 1943, in Clovis. She was a member of the Christian Church where she played the piano. She also played the piano at several nursing homes in the area. She worked at Bryson’s and McDaniel’s Furniture Stores and at Harbes Hallmark Store. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women’s Association.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a daughter, Kerry Jane Rogers.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Rogers of Clovis and John P. Rogers of Odessa, Texas; four grandchildren, Ronnie Rogers (and wife, Pam) and Ryan, Eric and Kari Rogers; and a great-granddaughter, Maia Noel Rogers.
David Keller will officiate the services.
Cremation has taken place.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ryan and Eric Rogers, Terry and Tommy Townsend, Jim Hileman and Jim Gilliland.
Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.
