    CLOVIS — The two-day retrial set to start today for a Clovis man accused of first-degree sexual penetration was delayed Wednesday afternoon, following new insights from an expert witness. District Attorney Andrea Reeb, representing the state, and public defender Jennifer Burrill, representing defendant Daniel Bayless, agreed Wednesday to continue the trial to a date still to be determined in the early fall.     CLOVIS — A Clovis man was convicted Wednesday of a pair of felonies connected to an August traffic stop, according to a release from the Ninth Judicial District Attorney’s office. Sentencing is scheduled for Friday for Cesar Rodriguez, 36. He was charged with aggravated fleeing of a law enforcement officer and possession of a controlled substance, as well as misdemeanor charges for resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia.
