    CLOVIS — Police on Friday night were involved in a standoff that lasted almost six hours and ended with one arrest and no injuries just before 11 p.m. at a trailer park on Sunrise Boulevard in Clovis.     CLOVIS — The trial for alleged library shooter Nathaniel Jouett will likely take place in August or September and last at least a month, according to discussion at a status hearing Friday morning in District Court. Chaves County Judge James Hudson presided over the public hearing in Clovis, attended in person by District Attorney Andrea Reeb and telephonically by defense attorney Stephen Taylor of Albuquerque.     CLOVIS — In January 2014, Clovis residents spent over a week cleaning up giant tumbleweeds that had piled up in town, particularly in the area south of Llano Estacado on Wicks, Lore and Redcloud streets.     MORIARTY — Portales’ defense has been the team’s backbone all season. Friday night was no exception. The 7-1 Rams were facing 7-1 Moriarty on the road, with both coming in a 2-0 in District 4-4A play. Portales was leading by six with the Pintos banging on the door.
