  • Perfect wager all about the gamble

    Kevin Wilson CMI columnist

My name is Kevin, and I've got a thing for gambling. I'm not trying to be a Gamblers Anonymous member, as I'm pretty bad at anonymity. Nor am I trying to make light of people who have serious gambling problems and need all the help and self-control they can get. I think my attitude on gambling was formed because I had my first Las Vegas trip when I was 18. When you can't gamble, you notice the lavish buildings, the homages to ancient architecture and the warm, inviting ambiences ... and you realize they weren't funded by the...

  • Editorial: Supreme Court ruling does not fix immigration

    Orlando Fla Sentinel

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled on the Arizona immigration law, and life as we know it continued. Both sides claimed victory in what amounts to a ruling that changes parts of the controversial law but leaves the nation no closer to an effective strategy to address immigration. While the high court ruling primarily centered on the role of the federal government versus the responsibilities of the states, the justices left the law open to further court challenges and legal interpretation. So the heat over immigration reform rages... Full story

In an NBA final series where many thought Oklahoma City Thunder's Kevin Durant would lead his team to defeat the Miami Heat in six games, the Heat stole it in five. I admit when Thunder won game one, I thought the series would be close, but I never lost faith in James; it was his year to win. He didn't want to be like Clay Aiken, coming in second twice. The only thing aching was...
