  • Press release: Night work will be performed on Hull overpass

    Hamon Contractors, Inc. will be performing night time operations to pour the bridge deck on the Hull Street Overpass. The pours will be on September 7th and 9th and will run from approximately 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. During the course of the pour overhead lighting will be used. The need for the night time pour is that they are using high performance concrete and the reduced air temperatures aid in the placement of the concrete....

    Forget the better mousetrap — I wish someone would build a better Band-Aid. I was chopping an onion one night, in between breaks to let my eyes stop stinging and watering, when I cut my finger instead of the onion. Not to be deterred, I wrapped a piece of paper towel around my finger and went back to the onion. A minute or two later, I stabbed my thumb.
