    CLOVIS — Tall compared to his fellow 11- and 12-year-olds in Friday’s game, Roosevelt County pitcher Ty Terry had a group of Clovis American hitters mostly in check. But the American All-Stars were able to scratch out a single run in the top of the sixth inning — the last frame under majors division rules — to grab a 3-2 district tournament win at Beachum Field.     When 2nd Lt. Ira Pottard left the Army’s veterinary corps after fighting in World War II, he couldn’t arrange the financing to begin a veterinary practice in Clovis and traded his officer’s uniform to become a chauffeur. More than 35 years later when Delores Forrest entered the United States Air Force as a nurse, she began a career that has taken her to the rank of colonel and commander of the medical group at Cannon Air Force Base.     C. Charles Morgan Services: Have been held. Mr. C. Charles Morgan, 71, of Clovis, died Saturday, July 10, 2004, at his home. He was born on Nov. 17, 1932, in Anton, Texas, to the Rev. C.C. and Willie Lee Reese Morgan. He graduated from Anton High School in 1951 and Hardin-Simmons University in 1955. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 13 years and retired after 37 years as a lab technician at the Medical Center in Clovis for Dr. Moss, Dr. Abshere and Dr. Boese.     SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Former Clovis High track star Ryan Tolbert-Jackson failed to qualify for the 400-meter hurdle finals Saturday at the U.S. Olympic track and field trials. Tolbert-Jackson, the 1997 NCAA outdoor champion in the 400 hurdles at Vanderbilt, finished sixth in her heat and 11th over among the 16 semifinalist with a time of 57.03 seconds.
