    CLOVIS — An adventuresome deer who spent most of the day roaming and resting in Clovis' Hillcrest Park returned to his more natural habitat about 5:15 p.m. Monday. Game Warden Clay Moyers said the 100-pound mule deer was last seen heading east in a field near Clovis Community College after arising from his afternoon rest stop under a shed at the park.   • Judge declines to dismiss case against airmen

    CLOVIS — The case against three airmen charged with raping a colleague early this year will not be dismissed, nor will the woman's testimony be excluded from the trial scheduled for October, Judge Drew Tatum ruled Monday.     CLOVIS — Videos from the escape last month of three inmates allegedly aided by a former detention officer at the Curry County jail are consistent with details of the incident as described in court records.     PORTALES — Funding for a pair of construction projects top the agenda at today’s Portales Municipal Schools Board of Education meeting. PMS received $1,665,294 in capital outlay from the Public Schools Capital Outlay Council to remodel the old wing at Brown Early Childhood Center.
