    CLOVIS — A pair of seniors from the Clovis High baseball program received spots on the All-USA New Mexico Baseball Team, as selected by USA Today High School Sports. Jace Piepkorn was a first-teamer at catcher, while Connor Langrell was named to the second team as a pitcher.   • Five indicted in connection with jail escape

    CLOVIS — A Curry County grand jury returned indictments Friday on five individuals charged in connection with the short-lived June 15 escape of three local jail inmates. Victor Apodaca, 28, and Aaron Clark, 31, were each indicted on one count of escape from jail and conspiracy to escape from jail, both fourth degree felonies.     CLOVIS — Beaulieu Brothers Pawn City is taking the first step towards closing its doors, but owners expect they’ll be open for at least the next few years.
