Plans to build a new airmen’s center at Cannon Air Force Base will move forward now that the Pentagon has announced that the base will be home to an Air Force Special Operations wing, according to a press release from the offices of Sen. United Dairy Women are presenting Dairyfest, a celebration of dairy products and the farmers who provide them. The family-oriented event, being held at the Curry County Fairgrounds on Saturday, will feature games, exhibits and contests. Admission to the festival is $1, and the free food will include such dairy-rich foods as grilled cheese sandwiches, cheeseburgers and ice cream.
