  • Clovis driver killed in Lincoln County

    A Clovis man was killed in Lincoln County on Sunday morning when the Toyota he was driving "left the roadway on a curved portion" for reasons unknown, according to state police. Sotero Acuna, 19, of Clovis, was traveling east on US 70 when the accident happened about 10 a.m. west of Roswell. According to a state police news release: "The vehicle entered the median and rolled. The driver (Acuna) was ejected and sustained fatal injuries." Acuna died at the scene.
