  • Sweet Home New Mexico: Airman deserves recognition

    I picked up a book about a year ago "American Heroes in Special Operations," written by Oliver North and Chuck Horton. I wanted an accurate portrait of the kinds of situations in which our special operators are inserted. This book delivered by sharing the stories of several of the military's most decorated heroes. I cried tears of appreciation for these special troops as I read the book, almost from cover-to-cover, in one sitting. I am always drawn to stories about Air Force members, particularly that of combat controllers.... Full story
