PORTALES — Cinco de Mayo is often associated with food, family and fun, but the city of Portales is adding a fourth ‘F’ this year: fitness. The city’s first Cinco de Mayo Fun Run is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Portales High School track, and participants will take off to the Memorial Building. After 150 years, an integral document in New Mexico’s history has been found over 2,000 miles away from its birthplace. CLOVIS — Officials with Clovis Municipal Schools hope to have a new boys basketball coach in place by the end of next week. A new athletic director may also be selected next week. Five are set to interview Tuesday and Wednesday for the basketball coaching position, left vacant with the resignation of Scott Robinson.
