  • Water advisory lifted

    The boil water advisory for Cannon Air Force Base and Chavez housing has been lifted. Extensive testing of the water system has determined that the contamination was isolated to one outside faucet at the Landing Zone. All other tests from inside the Landing Zone and across base and Chavez housing were negative. There is no evidence the contamination spread to the base water distribution system. There is no need to sterilize any appliances, such as ice makers, dishwashers, coffee makers, water dispensers, etc. For those who... Full story

    Claud Rainy Day Extension The Claud Rainy Day Extension club met Feb. 10 at the home of Reba Camp where they worked on the photo frame project for the Senior Citizen Resident Center. March 10 at Grady, Alpha Club hosted a luncheon and a program about “Dresses for Children” made from pillowcases. On March 24, members completed the photo frames which were distributed to the residents for Easter.     Bob Hope once said “If you watch a game it’s fun. If you play it, it’s recreation. If you work at it, it’s golf.” I guess it’s recreation because I think my golfing partners on a recent outing will attest that I wasn’t working all that hard at the game.
