FLOYD — The Floyd Municipal Schools is down an activity bus after it went up in flames Thursday afternoon. Superintendent Damon Terry said the fire was discovered at 12:52 p.m., and is believed to have been caused by an electrical short. The bus was not occupied when it caught fire. The $180,000 bus was totaled, Terry said, adding that the district is searching for other options for transportation.
