Hillcrest Park Zoo’s baby giraffe, Jerrica, should make her public debut Tuesday. “We did a trial run today,” zoo director Vince Romero said Monday. System overloads during winter cold snaps have prompted $1.6 million in upgrades across Portales, according to Xcel Media Relations Director Wes Reeves.
