    PORTALES — An Eastern New Mexico University student was arrested Tuesday for allegedly raping another student. Joel Torres, Jr., 18, was charged with criminal sexual penetration, a third-degree felony. He is at Roosevelt County Detention Center on a $10,000 cash or surety bond.     CLOVIS — In four weeks, a nightmare of more than two years is expected to see a closing of sorts for family of Ariel Ulibarri. That’s when District Attorney Andrea Reeb said she expects a plea deal to be accepted by Matthew Jennings.     CLOVIS — Fire was briefly on the menu for a Clovis restaurant Wednesday evening. Cotton Patch on Prince Street had a small fire in its parking lot, but it was quickly extinguished and restaurant management reported no structural damage or injuries.     CLOVIS — An automobile accident has left a man injured and in critical condition. Officers responded to a crash approximately 9:53 p.m. Tuesday on Wheaton Street and Highway 60/84, according to a press release sent by the Clovis Police Department. Officers identified Dylan Larson as hitting the side of an 18-wheeler as it was turning onto Wheaton.
