    CLOVIS — Motorists heading south of Clovis had a smoke-filled and possibly detoured drive Friday, as Clovis fire crews spent the morning fighting a blaze just south of the Prince Street Overpass. Clovis Fire Department Battalion Chief Joel Gershon said there were no injuries, but one firefighter was resting at home Friday afternoon after going to the hospital for an asthma attack.   • Clovis man shot; suspect in custody

    CLOVIS — A 69-year-old Clovis man was shot Wednesday night and his alleged assailant is in the Curry County jail today. Police in a news release said Carlos George Sena reported Iisha Silva shot him at Sena’s residence at 1121 Rencher. The release said Sena has been transported to University Medical Center in Lubbock for treatment of his injury. His condition was not released.
