    Local law officers arrested two Portales men on Tuesday, charging them with drug trafficking. According to a news release from Curry County Sheriff Wesley Waller: • A search warrant was conducted in the 500 block of South Avenue A in Portales, resulting in the arrests of Ebenezer Zamora-Palacios, 20, and David Zamora-Palacios, 24. The search netted 1.3 pounds of bulk and prepackaged suspected cocaine and 25.3 grams of bulk and prepackaged suspected marijuana. The cocaine has an estimated street value of $31,000. Portales p...

    CLOVIS — Tuesday's snowstorm means school's out Wednesday for Clovis Municipal Schools. School officials said Tuesday they will close campuses primarily to ensure safety for students and staff.
