Odessa College golf coach Paul Chavez woke up around 3 a.m. Wednesday to various texts and links that left him in shock. ODESSA — A man who killed seven people and injured 24 others in a wild shooting spree across Odessa on Saturday called both 911 and the FBI national tip line prior to the shootings. Odessa Police Chief Mike Gerke during a Monday news conference said Seth Ator, 36, had a dispute with his employer, Journey Oilfield Services, and that both Ator and someone from the company called 911.
