    Phillip Gillespie is a World War II veteran who once flew Navy aircraft on torpedo bombing missions. Gillespie served in the Navy from 1943 to 1947. Susana Martinez is trying to pass could help New Mexico veterans, active duty troops and military families and boost the state's economy, according to a news release from the governor's office.
