Silver Alert issued for pair from Bovina

BOVINA — Law enforcement is searching for two Bovina residents in their 80s who have not been seen since Friday afternoon, according to a press release from the Bovina Police Department.

A Silver Alert was issued for Rosendo Silva Lara, 81, who suffers from dementia and Alzheimer's.

Police are also searching for his wife Hortencia Aguillon Lara, 84, who was accompanying him.

Rosendo Silva Lara is 5-foot-6, weighs about 150 pounds, has white hair and blue eyes and was last seen wearing a blue button up shirt and black slacks.

Hortencia Aguillon Lara is 5-foot-1, weighs 150 pounds and has black and silver hair and brown eyes.

The couple is possibly traveling in a tan/silver 2000 Chevrolet pickup truck, Texas license plate GWY7326, that has a broken passenger side mirror repaired with blue painter's tape.

The couple's daughter, Anna De La Cruz, said her parents were still missing around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.

BPD is asking anyone with information to contact the Parmer County Sheriff's Office at 806-481-3303.
