ELIDA — Eunice built a 13-6 lead after one quarter and went on to beat Elida 60-49 on Tuesday night at Elida High School.
The Tigers dropped under .500 (4-5) as a result.
“They jumped on us early,” Elida head coach Logan Turnbow said. “We definitely spotted them too much early.”
Tari York led Eunice (7-2) with 19 points. Avante Stevens tossed in 10 for Eunice.
Kaull Burton led Elida with 12 points. Cris Diaz and Baylee Odor added 11 each — including three treys apiece — for Elida.
The Tigers will host Hagerman on Friday, with the junior varsity action beginning at 4 p.m. and the varsity afterward.
