Letter to the Editor: Bad behavior of past no free pass today

Shame on Rube Render for somehow trying to legitimize the actions of the alleged child predator Roy Moore. (“Denying Moore may be unconstitutional,” in Wednesday’s paper.)

By comparing it to the incidents of some politicians in the past, he infers that since they got away with it, so should Moore. Really?

It’s no secret that politics has been fraught with bad behaviors in the past. Daily we hear about someone else being accused of misconduct not only in politics, but in almost every walk of life. Sadly, this behavior continues and many of the victims cannot or will not come forward.

Moore has been accused of sexual misconduct from multiple credible women who had the courage to come forward and let the citizens of Alabama know who this man really is. This kind of deviant behavior is no longer being tolerated and the brave victims who are speaking out deserve to be heard.

Donald Trump says he believes Moore and stands behind him because Moore says these accusations are false. Roy Moore and Donald Trump, both accused predators, claim their accusers are “liars.”

Who is really lying?
