Rain, hail batter Curry County

The intersection of Prince and 14th Streets in Clovis was under water Tuesday after the city saw about an inch of rain in an hour.

CLOVIS — A southbound cold front brought rain, hail and localized flooding to portions of Curry County on Tuesday afternoon, with more moisture expected in the region overnight and this afternoon.

What a welcome to the county, just think we need that every day for about three years to do anything for the Ogallala Aquifer. After a constant rain like that for 3 years, it just might help extend the life (water is life) of Curry county. What we have been getting is merely a drop in a hundred gallon bucket. People please call your district commissioners and ask what they are doing to help with the lack of water here in our county.
