PORTALES — The Portales High School football program will hold a meeting Sunday at 11 p.m. for all high school players.
The meeting precedes the Rams’ annual opening practice, which will be held 12:01 a.m. Monday — the first day New Mexico high school teams can hold practices.
Two-a-day practices from Tuesday through Saturday are expected to go from 6-10:30 a.m.
The defending Class 4A champion Rams will hold a four-team scrimmage Aug. 18 with the Clovis JV, Eunice and New Mexico Military Institute.
Portales opens its regular season Aug. 25 at Texico.
