ENMU's Parker earns second LSC weekly award

RICHARDSON, Texas — Eastern New Mexico University freshman Marcus Parker has picked up his second Lone Star Conference men’s track athlete of the week award from the Lone Star Conference, according to a Wednesday LSC release.

Parker took three first-place finishes last weekend at the West Texas A&M Invitational, with all earning provisional marks in the upcoming Division II championships. He holds the fourth-best 100-meter time at 10.27 seconds, finished the 200 in 21.06 seconds and anchored the 400-meter relay team’s time of 40.83.

All four LSC track and field weekly honors went to freshman, including Nils Fischer of Angelo State (men’s field), Kennedy Hudson of WT (women’s track) and Fatim Affessi of WT (women’s field).

Parker also received conference honors April 9.
