ENMU leads LSC honor roll selections

RICHARDSON, Texas — The Lone Star Conference announced Tuesday that Eastern New Mexico University had the most student-athletes on its Commissioner’s Honor roll for the fall 2016 semester.

In all, 1,190 student-athletes from member schools were placed on the honor roll, which requires at least a 3.30 grade point average and presence on a team roster.

Eastern had 171 student-athletes on the honor roll, followed by West Texas A&M (164), Texas A&M-Commerce (139), and Texas- Permian Basin (136).

Of the total, 326 achieved a 4.0, led by WT (48), ENMU (46) and Commerce (45). Football players accounted for 40 of the 4.0s, followed by women’s soccer with 39, softball with 36, volleyball 33 and baseball 26.
