Dexture McCall, an Eastern New Mexico University baseball signee, was chosen in this month’s major league baseball draft by the Houston Astros in the 31st round.
The 6-foot-1, 220-pound McCall played for Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, Fla.
Last season, he batted .360 with team-high five home runs for the Hawks, who posted a 25-22-1 record.
