Road Construction

Clovis

Schepps Boulevard is closed to through traffic between 7th Street and U.S. 60/70/84 while street improvements are being made by K. Barnett & Sons.

Clovis Community College traffic should use the Trades Road entrance during construction.

For questions or comments contact City Engineer Justin Howalt at 769-7828.

Curry County

Signal Energy is working on Curry Road 34 just West of N.M. 209 to Curry Road Q. Be aware of the congestion, workers and heavy equipment.

The Curry County Road Department will be installing culverts at Curry Road 10 and Curry Road C. Motorists are encourage to seek an alternate route.

The department is also still shredding bar ditches and patching pot holes around the county. Observe all posted speed limits and use extreme caution around areas workers are present.

Portales

Traffic flow is greatly reduced on eastbound Second Street near the intersection with Main Avenue. Expect driving lanes to move slowly and have intermittent delays due to construction.

Anyone with questions or comments may contact Richard Gonzales, project manager for the New Mexico Department of Transportation, at 356-0047 or John Guldemann, project manager for Constructors, Inc. at 356-9096.
