Children: 4

Special circumstance: This family lost their car because of auto problems. They now bought a “new” used car, but it took all the saved money. This is a single mother who works hard trying to take care of her family.

Needs: Boy,10, wants a Remote Control Car and wears Size 10-12 and shoe size 4. Girl, 11 months, wants baby doll or anything with music. She wears a size 24 months. Girl, 9, wants anything dealing with crafts; she wears a size 10-12 and shoe size 4. Girl, 6, wants Glo Pillow, and wears a size 7-8 and shoes 1.

Who’s helped: More than 220 families who’ve asked the Salvation Army to help make Christmas special.

Donations: Clovis, can be dropped off at the CNJ, 521 Pile St., or mailed to P.O. Box 1689, Clovis, NM, 88102. Portales, can be dropped off at the PNT, 101 E. 1st St., or mailed to P.O. Box 848, Portales, NM, 88130. Envelopes should be clearly marked “Empty Stocking Fund.” Checks must be payable to The Salvation Army.

Contributions will be forwarded to the Salvation Army office, 317 E. Second St., Clovis, or gifts may be purchased for specific children under 12 years old by choosing an Angel tag off trees located at North Plains Mall, St. Clair Orthodontics and Hastings in Clovis.
