'Die Hard' still among best
October 31, 2013
linkI had a blast from the 1980s and 1990s past last weekend when I spent most of my Saturday lying on the couch watching the first Die Hard movie with Bruce Willis and Civil Action with John Travolta.
As most of us know, Die Hard is one of the greatest action movies out there, but Civil Action a movie with a slower plot scene. If you’ve never seen it, I highly recommend it.
It’s a story about a lawyer who becomes obsessed with a case regarding poisoned town water causing leukemia in several children in a small town. Based on a true story, the movie has a sad tone that shows a lack of results through most of it. It shows that industry corruption can be tough to fight, but if one is passionate enough about a cause, justice will be served in the long run.
Ever the devoted Marvel junky, my next movie theater endeavor will be the new Thor movie, “Thor: The Dark World,” which comes out in theaters on Nov. 8.
The first Thor film was excellent as well as The Avengers movie, and Chris Hemsworth has always done the character justice each time he has played the role.
The storyline of Thor teaming up with his enemy brother, Loki, sounds exciting and worth watching.
