Road Construction — Oct. 27

Area road construction and closure information for this week:

Clovis

North/South traffic on Martin Luther King will be closed from the main PRMC entrance to approximately 300’ south of the intersection. Primary access to the hospital during all construction phases of the project will be on 21st Street. Obey all construction signs and seek an alternate route when possible.

For questions regarding this matter, please contact Justin Howalt, City Engineer, at 575-769-2376 or via email at [email protected]

Curry County

Signal Energy is working on Curry Road 34 just West of NM 209 to Curry Road Q. Be aware of congestion, workers and heavy equipment in that area.

Curry County Road Department is still shredding bar ditches and pot hole patching around the County. Observe all posted speed limits and use extreme caution around areas workers are present.

Portales

Traffic on U.S. 70 has moved to the outside or south lane. With this move, traffic is able to access Avenue A, Main Street, and Abilene off of Second Street. Access to the courthouse square and businesses on Avenue A and Main Street will be available off of First Street. Please expect some congestion in this area.
