Area road construction and closure information for this week:

Clovis

North/South traffic on Martin Luther King will be closed from the main Plains Regional Medical Center entrance to approximately 300 feet south of the intersection. Primary access to the hospital during all construction phases of the project will be on 21st Street. The public is asked to obey all construction signs and seek an alternate route when possible.

Curry County

Curry County Road Department will be working on Curry Road D from the Airport to NM 523.

Curry County Road Department is still shredding bar ditches around the County.

Observe all posted speed limits and use extreme caution around areas workers are present.

Portales

Construction on U.S. 70 has traffic keeping to the outside or south lane from Avenue C to Boston Avenue. With this move, traffic will be able to access Avenue A, Main Street, and Abilene off of Second Street. Access to the courthouse square and businesses on Avenue A and Main Street will be available off of First Street. Expect some congestion in this area.
