Five Steps to Planning a Successful Event

Step 1 - Getting Organized

Setting up a notebook is extremely important. It provides a central location for all your information, helping you to stay focused and detail oriented.

Step 2 - Begin the Planning

This step is the most critical in determining the basics of your event. Be clear as to what your purpose is and the steps it will take to get there. This will insure a successful event.

Event: Determine the purpose (Fundraiser, business meeting, celebration, etc.)

Budget: Set a budget but be prepared for changes along the way

Step 3 - Pull Together Your Team

Step 4 - Be Flexible & Detail Oriented

Step 5 - Post Event

Once your event ends, it is necessary to review all contractual commitments and follow through. It is an excellent time to evaluate your event with the anticipation of an even more successful one next time around.
