Eleven acts scheduled for contest

Eleven acts are scheduled to perform in Saturday's 31st annual Texaco Country Showdown at the Lyceum Theatre.

The winner advances to the state level in the contest.

The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for kids 9-18, and kids 8 and under are free.
