Villalobos-Olivarez

Margie Villalobos of Portales and Jose L. Olivarez of Mathis, Texas, were joined in marriage June 30 at the old headquarters castle in Corpus Christi State Park in a simple private outdoors ceremony with their children as part of their wedding party. Friends and family joined them to share on this special day. A barbecue-style reception was held at the Olivarez ranch, and dancing till midnight.

After the festivities, they were off to a romantic honeymoon, Jamaican cruise, where the bride and groom cruised for eight days to Montego Bay, Jamaica, the Grand Cayman islands and Cozumel Mexico.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. Perfecto Joe Jaramillo and the late Adela Luevanos of Clovis. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Juan B. Aragon of Clovis.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jose L. Olivarez, Sr. of Mathis.

The groom is a superintendent at Plant and Power in Houston, where the couple will reside.

Reynolds-Gordon

Patricia Reynolds of Portales and Joe Gordon of Portales were joined in marriage at noon, June 30, at Ned Houk Park. Minister Daun Medaris performed the wedding.

The bride is the mother of Anthony Lee of Slaton and Carolyn Lee of Louisville, Ky. She is the grandmother of Audrey Lee of Slaton.

The bridegroom is the father of Shayne Lopez of Portales and Diana Wood of Broadview. He is the grandfather of Devyn, A.J. and Tommy Lopez of Portales and Kyle and Talynn Wood of Broadview.

The grandchildren stood with the grandparents during the wedding. The reception was held at VFW Post 9515 in Portales.
