Students qualify for nationals
Nineteen Dora High School Business Professional Association members and sponsor, Colleen Tollett, attended the State Leadership Conference in Albuquerque Feb. 16-18.
Participants came back with top awards and 14 students qualified for the National Leadership Conference.
Daniella Montanez was elected as the 2012-2013 state secretary/treasurer and will represent New Mexico at the national conference at all state meetings and national caucuses. Gowan Hays received the Wanda Harriman Scholarship of $400.

Qualifying students will attend the NLC on April 24 in Chicago, April 24-28 and participate in work skill assessments and leadership development. They are currently participating in several fundraisers to earn the money needed for registration, housing and travel.
FFA judging schedule
Kit Pettigrew, FFA sponsor, and the Dora FFA members are gearing up for judging season. After-school practices begin this afternoon, with the first contest scheduled for Carrizozo on Saturday.
Spring book fair
Librarian Patsy Ward has scheduled the spring book fair for the week of March 5. Buy one, get one free items will be set up in the library all week.
