Daughters of the Confederacy

The Ellen W. Jones Chapter of UDC met at the Vines Restaurant for their monthly meeting. Hostess was Mary Louise Childress,

Jane Hilliard led the pledges and Laura Nelson read the ritual. Bess Jones gave the invocation.

Peg Kline read a card from the City of Portales. The club received a letter stating we had received the Richmond National Certificate award of a silver tray for timely reports. The tray stays at UDC Memorial Building.

The 2010 general minutes state: The Mrs. Beale A. Robinson Silver Tray, donated by Ohio Division in 2010 in memory of Gail Salyers Robinson, recording secretary general 2006-2008, in honor of all division and CWND, recording secretaries, the first Division or CWND submitting the required reports and rosters for the annual general minutes with nine-digit zip codes for all report entries.
