• Last time out: The Javelinas lost to St. Mary’s 70-67 in overtime on Monday at San Antonio. The Greyhounds earned a split in the LSC’s “rivalry week” against West Texas A&M, edging the Buffaloes 68-66 on Saturday at Greyhound Arena.

• Last meeting: The Javs beat ENMU 77-69 on Dec. 1 in Kingsville.

• Of note: Kingsville has lost three in a row and seven of its last nine since its win over the Hounds. … The game matches the LSC’s two best FT shooters in 6-4 junior G Ashton Brown of Kingsville, the NCAA Division II leader (86-for-89, 97 percent), and ENMU senior G Reggie Nelson (82-for-92, 89 percent). Nelson (42 percent) and Brown (41) also rank 2-3 in the league in 3-point FG shooting. … The Javelinas are led in scoring by 6-5 senior F Robert Williams (15.4 ppg) and Brown (15.2), who rank 4-5 in the conference.
