Joe and Geraldine Burford of Pleasant Hill will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 15 at the Pleasant Hill Fire Department.
The celebration will be hosted by James Burford, Patricia and Bobby Peugh, Kathleen Reese and Nancy and Don Maxie.
The couple was married Jan. 10, 1942, in Pleasant Hill.
They have two children, James Burford of Pleasant Hill and Johnny Burford (deceased); three grandchildren, Adam Burford (deceased), Ross Burford of Midland, Texas, and Lindsey Burford of Clovis; and two great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Burford and Abby Burford of Midland. Joe and Geraldine are both farmers.
The celebration is open to friends and relatives. Please no gifts.
