Manzano scored on its first two possessions of the second half and beat Clovis 20-12 Saturday in a Class 5A state quarterfinal playoff game in Albuqueruque.
Tre Orozco's 22-yard pass to C.J. Ransom with 18 seconds left in the second quarter gave Clovis a 12-6 halftime lead .
The score was set up by Orozco's 29-yard run on a fake punt.
Sixth-seeded Clovis (7-5) took advantage of a Manzano fumble to take a 6-0 lead on Kamal Cass' 15-yard run two minutes into the game.
No. 3 Manzano (10-1) tied the score three minutes later on Quavshaun Branch's 51-yard run.
The teams combined for just over 200 yards of offense and nine punts in the first two quarters.
