Company announces end of first phase

Broadview Energy announced on Friday completion of its first phase of a project leasing and deployment of towers to a wind energy project in Curry County.

The new company spans across the northeastern portion of Curry County as well as western Deaf Smith County, Texas, covering about 130 square miles with borders five miles from the site of the Tres Amigas energy project.

The company’s next steps will include installing additional meteorological towers within its Texas footprint and negotiating potential energy purchases with utility companies.

Construction is still 24-36 months away, according to a company release. The company hopes to put together enough infrastructure at the project’s apex in five to 10 years to reach a maximum possible output of 500 megawatts of wind energy per hour.
