Designer and digitizer, Laura Waterfield, owner of Laura’s Sewing Studio in Tomball, TX., has been making outdoor quilts for many years. Now, she uses machine embroidery designs, and there is no batting or backing fabric to trap moisture, mold or mildew.

Information on sewing small doll clothes, encouraging kids to learn to cook, and using candles for decorating will be the featured topics on “Creative Living” on Tuesday, October 18th at 12:00 noon and on Saturday, October 22nd at 2:00 p.m. (All times are Mountain.)

Andrea Schewe is a pattern designer with Simplicity Pattern Co. in New York city, and she is going to share some tips on sewing small doll clothes. She'll talk about the fabric choices, seams, and pressing tips for making doll clothes.

Since more parents involve their kids in cooking on a regular basis, Bernard Schnacke will show some baking sets designed to make it fun and easy for kids to learn to cook. He represents Frieling USA and lives in Charlotte, NC.

Rita Fuentes, senior regional vice president for PartyLite Gifts, Inc. in Plymouth, MA., will share ideas for bringing fun and festivity to a dinner party, focusing on centerpieces, place settings, and buffet tables -- and they all feature candles.
